I was searching through my wardrobe for a dress, but no matter how much I looked, I couldn’t find it. I searched for a long time and ended up opening another cabinet that was meant for DVDs (I saw the Indiana Jones series) but still didn’t find it…
Along the way, a few friends passed by and greeted me. After greeting them, I continued searching for the dress.
Then I woke up, but I was so frustrated—I still hadn’t found it! I lay back down to continue searching for the dress (and to get more sleep), flipping through everything, but in the end, I still didn’t find it.
I woke up again, feeling upset. I decided not to search anymore and had coffee with milk for breakfast before heading to work.
- Wardrobe: My shopping desire..
- The friends who greeted me: People and things I encounter in life.
- Waking up, going to work: Real life.
Lately, my shopping desire has been growing uncontrollably, and I feel like this dream carries a reminder.
External things—things to seek or buy—are endless. Desire is like a bottomless pit. Don’t let it overshadow the people and things that matter to you in everyday life. Living steadily and valuing those relationships is what truly matters. When the decorations of life become the focus, it’s a sign something’s wrong!
At times like this, it’s a good opportunity to examine your intentions, layer by layer, and the answer will become clear.
